Kanha Tiger Reserve, also called Kanha National Park, is one of the tiger reserves of India and the largest national park of Madhya Pradesh, state in the heart of India.

The park has a significant population of royal Bengal tiger, Indian leopards, the sloth bear, barasingha and Indian wild dog. The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha provided inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel The Jungle Book.

This park is situated in more than 1000 km sq. area and thus divided into two sanctuaries namely Hallon and Banjar. You can book either Jeep Safari or Elephant Safari to roam around this National Park. This is the place in India where you can see maximum number of Tigers at a time.

The best time to visit this National Park is in summer because Tigers often come out near ponds and other places in search of water and you can be sure to watch them.  Kanha National park has well versed facilities for Food, Accomodation, Safari etc.

Visiting Kanha would be the memorable experience for anyone as this the best place to spend some time in lap of the nature. 🙂
